Hotel Kansas City wedding party photos are a whole vibe when you have 8 bridesmaids in deep purple, 7 groomsmen, and an entire hotel full of stunning backdrops to work with.

Bridesmaids on the terrace. Groomsmen in the Grill Room. Full wedding party outside in front of that architecture. We went dramatic, we went fun, we went cute — and honestly this group delivered every single time.

15 people, zero complaints, all the good energy. That’s a wedding party. 🤍

Being a Kansas City film photographer, there is something about film that digital simply cannot replicate. The grain, the warmth, the way it captures an in between moment and makes it feel timeless. I played with distance throughout and every single frame came back exactly the way I hoped.

Simona and Madisen chose Nelson Atkins and Loose Park — neutral sweaters, easy energy, and genuinely one of the chillest afternoons I’ve had behind a camera. Simona brings the quiet calm, Madisen brings the giggles, and together they just work.

And those sunglasses photos? Some of my favorites. 🤍

No Vacancy Kansas City is one of those wedding venues I genuinely cannot get enough of — and tomorrow I get to shoot here again. 🙌

Izzy and Daniel’s day was everything. Just 35 of their closest people, no wedding party, no packed timeline, just two people completely soaking in every single moment. The space gave us so much to work with for portraits, and when Izzy said yes to bathtub photos I was absolutely obsessed with how they turned out.

After portraits, guests arrived for a sweet and simple ceremony followed by the most delicious desserts from Gio’s Bakery and a Boba Tea cart. Boba at a wedding. I’m still thinking about it.

This day was such a good reminder that weddings don’t have to follow a traditional mold to be deeply meaningful. 🤍

Happy pride month!! 🌈

The Austin is such a good fit for couples who actually want to enjoy their wedding day — and Jamie and Gina are the perfect example of that done right.

Here’s how they met: Gina was looking for a house to buy and Jamie was her realtor. So she bought the house with the realtor attached. Honestly one of my favorite love stories.

Their day was built around presence over production. A beautiful first look with tearful vows, photos with their (largely sibling) wedding party, a short sweet ceremony, and then straight into the part they were most excited about — dinner, their people, and dancing the night away in rainbow light-up converse.

Loose Mansion is one of my favorite unique wedding venues in Kansas City — and once you step inside, it’s easy to see why.

A fully restored 1907 mansion with glittering chandeliers, hand-carved mahogany woodwork, fireplaces, and 15,000 square feet of space to work with. Every corner of this place gives you something different to photograph. The iconic staircase alone is worth it.

What I love most is how versatile it is — intimate or grand, traditional or cultural, this venue bends to fit whatever your day is supposed to feel like. Ravi and Ashly’s fall wedding here was a perfect example of that. 🤍

The Starlight Ballroom at Hotel Kansas City is one of those spaces that just photographs itself.
Sunset on the terrace, moody portraits in the Nighthawk, and a reception ballroom that delivers every single time. Katie and Justin’s day was stunning from start to finish. 🤍

Kansas City wedding ceremonies can feel like the most intimidating part of the day.

But, and I cannot stress this enough, when you keep looking at each other, keep holding each other's hands, and let yourself stay present, you realize… you are getting married. To your person.

For Cara and Michael, even with a storm moving in (and a tornado warning soon after), that’s what happened here.

No one heard the storm. All they heard was Cara and Michael's beautiful ceremony.

Stoll Park in Overland Park is one of those portrait locations that just hits different when it already means something to the couple.

Robin and Michael stop here all the time to walk their dogs. So when we wrapped up their backyard wedding and jumped in my car for sunset photos, this felt like the obvious choice.

I really do think people relax differently when they're somewhere familiar. And I think that's exactly why these photos feel the way they do. The location wasn't meaningful because it made beautiful photos. It made beautiful photos because it already meant something to them.
