I was just thinking about my daughter's wedding and looking back at how stressed I was putting on that event. If I had anything to do over, I would stop, take a breath, sit down with my daughter and say, "Is this what you really, really, really want in the venue, the flowers, etc.?" She needed and wanted help and didn't want to be responsible for all the decisions, but after the fact, I think she wished she'd been more involved. That would be my advice. She was thrilled with the result, but I would advise all mothers to be sure their daughters really want what they say they want.
