Just got some 35mm scans back + had to make a little digital vs film appreciation post 🎞️

There’s just something about film… the grain, the blur, the way it holds light so softly. Every frame from Cyria + Trey’s California dream wedding feels like a memory you found in an old shoebox after a perfect summer. Golden sun, ocean air, and all the in-between moments that somehow feel even more real on film.

Digital will always have my heart for the crisp moments, but film? Film feels like poetry.

K & J at Hotel Kansas City last weekend completely unraveled me, in the best way. The kind of love you don’t have to explain, you just feel it the second you’re around them. The way he looks at her like she’s his whole world, the way she speaks about him with so much softness and certainty… it’s the quiet, undeniable kind of love.
Their ceremony on the Starlight Terrace felt like something out of a dream, open air, the city was quiet, and personal vows to get everyone teary eyed.
And instead of a traditional cake cutting? They made tiramisu together, laughing, creating, completely in their own little world. It was intimate, intentional, and so them.
This is what it looks like when a wedding actually feels like you.
