Hand cast plaster, air dry clay, acrylic, locally grown preserved flowers.

We love finding new ways to let our gardens linger a little while longer. Preserving flowers is really becoming a passion around here.

I’ve had this idea in my head for a while but I couldn’t find the right frames, the right bud vases. So I sculpted my own! I’m proud that when I started this project it was a pile of white dust, dead flowers and some clay. Now it’s going to a teachers classroom to brighten and bring joy to children, to a grandmothers living room to remind her of her grandchildren and to a college students dorm room so she feels a little piece of home while she’s away for the first time. Flowers have so much to say, I love giving them a voice.

Hi friends! I haven’t posted in a while cause…I HAD A BABY! But now I’m back, baby. Here’s a peek of what I’ve been working on. All these and more will be available tonight at Crossroads Arts District Art Garden KC | Shop Local Artists & Makers First Fridays! My little table is set up in the alleyway next to Oracle Natural Science and if you like my stuff you’re definitely going to want to swing by there as well. Sneak peak of the wedding we did this weekend. Locally grown celosia and lisianthus, foraged greens and branches, California grown David Austin roses, amaranth and strawflower. We had a lot of fun getting creative with a mix of fresh and dried flowers.
