OMG last night was so much fun! 🤩 Thanks to everyone who joined us for our return to PowerPlay. This place continues to prove to be an awesome hangout spot for us, and we’ll definitely be going back at some point. The staff was super nice too so shoutout to them. Lots of fun and silly moments throughout the night. Also for a lot of furs this was their first meet so I wanna say welcome to the community! Can’t wait to see you guys at more meetups! 🐰✌️

There seems to be some confusion about our Antioch Park event last month! This was just a friendly outing where we sought to show off our costumes, grill up some hot dogs, and play some yard games. There was no chasing or scaring anybody! We even reserved a shelter which we stayed in! 😁

There was a moment when we briefly left the shelter to go around and take some photos of our fursuits, and then some of the families at the park approached us asking for photos with their kids! So it was all around a wholesome time! Hopefully that clears some things up! 🤗

Fursuiting is a kind of cosplay that blends crafts and performance art. We design animal costumes and perform with them on! It's not dissimilar from dressing up like a superhero at a convention or being a street clown! Believing that we're animals is not part of it! 😂 We just want to make people smile and have fun!

Hi everybody! 😺 We're Fountain City Furs, a local group that plans events for adults in the Kansas City fursuiting community! If you don't know, fursuiting is a kind of craft/cosplay/performance art where we make costumes and dress up like animal characters. We're just here to have fun and make people smile, so if you see us in the area, don't be shy to ask for a picture with us! We don't bite! 😸
