FPKC has been keeping busy the last few weeks! We marched in the Lawrence Pride parade, stopped in at team Palestine’s soccer match, and just yesterday tabled and spoke at Mutual Aid Day!

We will be at People’s Pride at the end of June, and we are hosting bridge rallies throughout June and July.

In 1948, over 750,000 Palestinians were forced from their homes by Zionist militias. More than 500 Palestinian villages were completely wiped off the earth.

This displacement and erasure was not a one-time event but has continued over and over again in the last 78 years. Israeli settlements continue to creep into Palestinian land. Palestinians are regularly evicted from their homes, their land confiscated, and their possessions destroyed. Diasporan Palestinians are denied their “right to return”. 

May 15th is therefore known as Nakba Day - which stands for Day of Catastrophe.

Join FPKC on Friday, May 15th for a bridge rally and protest as we remember the tragic events in 1948, and call to light the continued genocide of Palestinians. From the river to the sea.

There's a reason murals and tributes to George Floyd can be found all across Palestine, from Gaza to the West Bank. What's happening in is from a playbook Palestinians know well, as all of the tactics and policies were not only perfected there on them, but their oppressors have trained our very own. These issues can't be separated. Empire has to be pulled out by the roots and burned to ash.
