A little look see into this September day in New York City. Katherine and Connor had a micro wedding on top of The Standard in the East Village and brought me along. It was my first time experiencing New York City and the trip was something I will never forget. I’ve been doing weddings for almost ten years now and every single time someone trusts me to capture their day, I am struck with gratitude. I love that I get to follow a couple on such a unique day in their lives and create something meaningful for them to remember it.

There were so many special moments from my time in NYC. Walking around the East Village the day before with Katherine and Connor, the smell of peonies filling the room (courtesy of Jo Malone), people’s reactions from the street while we rode in a vintage cab, the 360 view of the city from the penthouse…I distinctly remember standing on top of The Standard at night and losing my breath in awe. It was such a marked moment in my career. I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be and I felt so grateful. Katherine and Connor treated me so kindly and I felt like a guest instead of a vendor. They are such special people and I’m so thankful I now know them.

Erin and Joel in St. Thomas saying yes on the beach ☀️

Still not over the fact that I got to film this destination wedding on the beautiful, Caribbean island, St. Thomas. Thank you so much, Erin and Joel, for inviting me along. What a dream to experience the island for the first time as well as capture your love.

This wedding blew my mind. Fire dancers, a Moko Jumbie, barefoot ceremony, villa overlooking Maegan’s Bay…plus so many surprises planned by the bride and groom. Erin and Joel’s first dance was incredible and Joel even surprised Erin with a choreographed dance. Everything about this time in St. Thomas with their closet friends and family was special and intentional. So grateful I got to be there and capture it on digital and Super 8 film. 🤍

Sneak peek into Beau and Kaitlin’s Rosemary Beach wedding ✨

My last wedding of 2021 was one for the books. Beau and Kait were kind enough to invite me to Florida to capture their big day. It was my first time on the pan handle of FL and it knocked my socks off. The Pearl Hotel with its Swiss charm, the white sand beaches, Alys Beach and their beautiful white buildings…it was a dream.

This October day was filled with the most beautiful weather, some really good champagne, and lots and lots of joy. Ana is one of those people whose joy radiates to all those around her. I was so grateful to be there and capture their big day. So much more coming soon!

Colin + Ashley / Sneak Peek

Fine art meets summer wildflowers in St. Louis. These two, like many others, had to change their plans in 2020. They opted for a small, private ceremony last year and then renewed their vows and celebrated with family and friends at Piper Palm House.

They got ready together (more of this please!) and walked down the aisle together. Ashley described themselves as having a casual, everyday kind of love. They are super fun loving and a bit goofy too. I was incredibly honored to capture their love on digital and film. Ashley is a fellow creative, a talented photographer, and it means so much that she had me there to help document this day.
