Founded in 1980 in Columbia, Missouri, Nolte's offered gowns, tuxedos, flowers and invitations at one location. This combination of talents led to a rapid success story that encompassed flowers for everything from Inaugural Balls and society weddings, to gowns for Miss Americas and Missouri's most beautiful brides. As a member of National Bridal Service, Nolte's maintains its rank for over 25 years in this professional organization of the best 400 stores. Michael Nolte was the organization's first man to receive Wedding Coordinator Certification. Missouri's first wedding to be featured in a national magazine was designed by Michael Nolte. "Elegant Bride", May 1991, showcased the magnificent event. In 1992, Nolte's opened the Hawthorne Plaza salon. Nolte's can order any gown you've ever seen and always price matches a licensed competitor. In an era of discounting to achieve sales, Nolte's flourishes because of our philosophy, "It's better to explain price once than to apologize for poor service or quality forever." In 2006, N.B.S., awarded Nolte's "Top Ten Couture Salons in the United States."
