Affirmingwear saves lives by helping Trans & Gender Non-conforming folks see their true selves in their bodies, as well as providing safety for TGNC folks who have to pass to avoid harassment.

Gently used items are welcome as appropriate.

Happy pride month, everyone! This month's Trans Joy In The Park (Central) will take place on Saturday, June 28th!! And as an extra special activity, we will be writing letters to trans folks via Point of Pride!! These letters will be delivered to trans folks around the country, to spread our Trans Joy well beyond the edge of KC.

Along with that, we will be making felt badges, in the spirit of getting prepared for the Trans Joy Camp in July! If you’re interested in attending camp but haven’t registered yet, make sure you do soon! Spots are limited and are filling up fast!

Do you enjoy connecting with people? Are you self-motivated and organized? Do you want to use your skills to help spark joy in the trans and gender non-conforming community? Volunteer as a TransJoy KC event host! We need folks to:
⚧ Host Trans Joy in the Park Central every 4th Saturday from 4-7pm.
⚧ Table for TransJoy KC at Local Events to help spread the word!
⚧ Start a Trans Joy in the Park at Your Neighborhood Park to connect your local community.
⚧ Host Your Own Community Event such as a game night, nature walk, or hang at your favorite coffee shop!
Hosts must be Trans or Gender Non-Conforming.
BIPOC and disabled folks strongly encouraged to apply.

Where: Anne's backyard in Raytown (exact address provided on RSVP)
What: In-ground pool and hot tub with a surrounding privacy fence. Some food will be provided from the grill but folks are welcome to bring a beverage or food to share as well.
