Some sessions stay with you forever šš
I donāt think there are words big enough for Tuesday evening.
I had the incredible honor of photographing Eros as his community came together to give him an evening full of helicopters, superheroes, music, gifts, and so much love.
Eros has been fighting brain cancer for three years now, and last week, all treatment was stopped, and he was given two more months.
The Oak Grove Police Department and Sni Valley Fire Protection District offered an es**rt for Eros and his family from STG Feed & Animal Health to the helicopter hangar while the community truly showed up with signs and love lining the streets. FOX4 News Kansas City also showed up so the event could have some coverage!
When everyone arrived at the hangar, Levity Events already had the live music going and the red carpet set up, ready for Erosā arrival. Santa and Deadpool joined in on the fun, too! Sundial KC made a beautiful bouquet for mom, and Chelsea's Cake Collection brought a dessert tray.
Behind every photo was a family making the most of every moment together. Watching the Oak Grove community move mountains in a matter of a few days to create joy in the middle of unimaginable circumstances is something Iāll carry with me for a very long time.
Photography has given me so many gifts over the years, but moments like this remind me why I picked up a camera in the first place. Not just to capture smiles, but to preserve love. To freeze the moments that matter most.
Iām so very grateful to Erosā family for trusting me with such precious memories, and to every single volunteer who poured their heart into making this wish come to life. Watching so many people show up for one little boy was a beautiful reminder of the good that exists in this world.
