Sometimes I see this trend and laugh a little… because honestly, this tracks.

The little girl in these photos loved a reason to celebrate. Birthdays, holidays, backyard gatherings — it didn’t matter. If people were coming together, I wanted to be part of making it special.

By the time I was 11, that childhood instinct turned into my career goals.

Today I get to walk into rooms with couples and clients at one of the most meaningful moments of their lives and say, “I’ve got this.”

Fifteen years in the events and wedding industry has taught me a lot — how to build the right vendor team, how to design a room so it feels effortless, how to protect a client’s budget, and sometimes how to be the “bad guy” so my clients don’t have to be.

But maybe the most important thing I’ve learned is this:
beautiful celebrations only matter if the people they’re for are actually present to experience them.

So yes… this girl grew up loving celebrations.

And now I get to create them for a living — thoughtfully, strategically, and with a whole lot of heart.

A night we look forward to all year!

Last week our KC wedding industry gathered to celebrate one another and the magic we create with a lot of hardwork, passion, and teamwork!

To be part of this community means so much because even as a solo business owner, I know who my people are and who will always cheer for me, who will commit their best work to create alongside me and our clients, and who will respond to an email at a ridiculous hour or pickup the phone when the unexpected as happened.
And then we all live and learn and laugh about it later.
