🌭🥤HOT DOGS & HIGHBALLS IV 🏝🎸

The fourth installment of Hot Dogs & Highballs is a collaboration between local pop-up concept, Cóndor’s Cove and surf rock group Sundog!

We are so excited to partner with Diana and the crew from .kc to bring the beach to ! This event will feature fun and fizzy takes on classic tropical-style drinks in the Highball format, as well as some traditional highballs, all featuring Fancies Sodas. Joining the Fancies “Best Hot Dog in Kansas City” will be 3 new hot dog variations highlighting tropical flavors as well as Caribbean, Pacific and South American themes.

In addition to the hot dogs and highballs guests will also enjoy 2 sets by local surf rock outfit, Sundog. The ticket price of $40 will include the live music, choice of (1) hot dog and (1) highball. Guests will be able to purchase additional items upon arrival.

The winning bartender was chosen based on their original cocktail submission using as the primary ingredient, but that was just the beginning. 🏃‍♂️
Round II featured a Malört pairing in a “shot-and-a-beer” style offering. These were hands down the best drinks of the night. Every was delicious, over-the-top creative, and most importantly: F U N.
The top 3 Finalists then had all of 5 minutes to spin THE WHEEL of mystery ingredients and create a Tropical Style drink.🍹
At the end and were asked to write down their recipe for their best version of a using only the items available at the competition bar. They looked great on paper… so, we gave the finalists 5 minutes to make their opponent’s recipe and present it in the best possible way. 🌵
Ultimately it was Matt Slaney who took the bragging rights and the trip to Chicago after presenting Laura Wagner’s recipe.🏆
What a wild ride. 🤸🏽

WE NEED YOUR HELP! As promised, the first of many surprises is the WILD CARD ROUND.

We couldn't have predicted it, folks. The entries to the Haterade Presents: The Mälort Mêlée were too... INTERESTING. So... interesting, in fact, that we've decided to add one more semi-finalist, and we're calling on you-- Malört fans and foes alike; to assist in the selection process. Follow the link to cast your vote for the WILD CARD, the UNDERDOG, the, well... MALÖRT of the BALL!

You are not going to believe this... But out of the dozens of entries into the Malört Mêlée, there were too many that were just too... Interesting. So we're putting our favorites up against each other to see if the people agree. That's right, an old-fashioned social media Wild Card match-up!

Fancies Sodas & Cocktails' pop-up in residency at miniBar is coming to an end one week from Saturday (July 24th). We have had a lot of fun serving Highballs with Fancies' sodas and Classic Cocktails to our friends and new regulars these weeks.
