Finding the perfect venue for you and your partner after engagement can feel daunting. To say the least.

And yetttttt, this will probably be one of the biggest and most important decisions in your wedding planning process.

Don’t fear your wedding planner is here! (It’s okay I also gagged a little typing that cheesiness)

Start with these three:

WEDDING COUNT/BUDGET: I combined these two because they go hand in hand. Your wedding count will ALWAYS determine your budget.

DESIGN: If your colors are rustic/vintage then a venue like the one above 👆🏻 would be the one for you.
But if you want a suit and tie downtown feel, you mighttttt want something different.

LOCATION: Do you want your ceremony outside or inside? If you want it outside you’ll want a venue that can accommodate that. Aka not a downtown hotel.

Ultimately, it all comes down to you and your partner’s story. What do you want your day to FEEL like so it fully represents what you and your partner believe and care for? This is the way to narrow your search.

In case you missed the announcement earlier this week, Emerald Haus was nominated for “Planning Company of the Year.”

To say I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and thankfulness would be an understatement. Thank you WedKC for the opportunity!

2023 has been a wild ride for Emerald Haus, but I couldn’t be more excited to see where 2024 takes us.

Cheers to the vendors, friends, and family who have cheered me on. I couldn’t have done it without you. Love you all!

Oh my goodness this past week! Wow.

It rained. Things went wrong. It rained more. It started to flood!! We went to plan B, and C and so on …. But in the end, the flowers still came together, they did their job bringing beauty, love, and joy as Natalie and Merritt celebrated their marriage. ❤️

We are still recovering from an epic wedding weekend. A big shout out to planner for pulling everything together and rolling with the crazy weather. Special thanks to and for helping us prep and design all of the many installs, candelabras, and set up for this big day. Much love to my Mom and hubby for stepping in to help hold down the fort, deliver, and save the day. Lindsey for coming back to help us with a bridal shower. And to Andrea, Vicki, Rachel and team at for going above and beyond in helping us source the perfect flowers, giving us extra space and time to create and cheering us on.

Last but not least - Madi and Danya for being my design sidekicks, especially Madi who ran the store while I was off site most of the week.

I can’t wait to see and share pictures from .photo ❤️

More tomorrow about the wedding, this week’s hour changes as we prep the store for Christmas and our Night Before Christmas event on Thursday which is close to selling out! 😱
