Sadly, we are sharing that our friend and colleague, Dianna Sh*tanishi, passed away late Friday night, September 26, 2014. Dianna fought a valiant battle against her cancer but this challenge ultimately proved too much for her.

Many of you know that Dianna had a passion for Events and excelled at many things during her time with us.

The Sh*tanishi family has made the following arrangements to celebrate Dianna's life.

OAHU WEDDING COUPLES: Give your extra water and canned goods to our Big Island families that need our help! Remember, that it could have been us on here on Oahu! Donation centers have been set-up (see below) until noon on Friday and Island Movers will be transporting it over to help.

Hawaii Bride & Groom Magazine Coordinates Supply Drive For Hurricane Relief On The Big Island till Friday, August 22, 2014, 12:00 Noon.

After retuning from the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel Bridal Expo this past weekend, we realized that people are still struggling from Hurricane Iselle. Although power and water have been restored in some areas, there are still more people that are without.

Our contact on the Big Island also mentioned that many of the families are learning that their insurance will not be covering structural and personal belongings and are in need of basic necessities.

Island Movers has graciously donated the pick-up, drop-off and shipping to Hilo and some of our advertisers have opened their businesses to receive donations. Watanabe Floral on 1618 N. Nimitz Hwy. will be accepting canned goods and water. Prototype Pearlridge located in Downtown Pearlridge will be accepting canned goods, water and basic necessities. Island Movers on 4397 Lawehana Street by the old Costco will be accepting canned goods, water and basic necessities. Local Motion Windward Mall will be accepting canned goods and water. All drop off points will be accepting donations till Friday, August 22nd at 12:00 Noon.

both of my fathers served in the Air Force so I understand the sacrifices they made, but also the hardship a family goes through when they are away. Always make time to thank those that serve our country and protect our freedom!
