✨ MONDAY MEETS ✨
Today we're introducing one of our favorite faces in the shop—and our youngest booth vendor! 💛If you've ever been in the antique world, you know it's not every day you see a young woman diving headfirst into vintage treasures. Trust me, I still get plenty of looks when I walk into antique shows myself! 😆

So when she walked through our doors as a high school senior shortly after we opened and asked about renting a booth, I was absolutely thrilled. Since then, she's made our little downtown Kalona home, works full-time at Willow Creek Quilt Shop, and still finds time to help us out on the occasional Monday.

Her smile is contagious, her personality is pure sunshine, and her love for all things handmade is something I adore. From quilting and crochet to styling herself in vintage finds, she truly lives the life she loves. ✨

You'll find her booth upstairs, filled with her signature favorites: vintage tins, Precious Moments, charming French-inspired figurines, and those quirky treasures that make you say, "Oh my goodness, I remember that!"

My daily entertainment? Watching every girls' day out crew walk through our front door. 💗It happens every single time. The door opens. They take two steps in. The conversation stops. Eyes get big. Someone says, "OH MY GOSH." And before they leave? Their arms are full of pink bags and treasures they absolutely did not plan on taking home. 😂

One of these days I'll catch it on camera because honestly, it's become one of my favorite parts of owning this little pink corner of the world.

There is something so special about creating a space where people can wander, discover, laugh, reminisce, find a little whimsy, and leave with something they love. Not just a purchase—a whole experience.

Hey! We're starting the process of taking new and fresh vendors for our re-vibe in our pink antique mall... here is a CALL TO the bold creators, antique curators, and colorful personalities to join our vendor family.
This isn’t just shelf space—it’s a stage for you to shine! Bring your weird, your wonderful, your rare, your refined. We run like family here, so someone who is REALLY into enjoying where you are at is a must. We see tons of tourists and I, as your leader of the pack pay attention to every little detail-- I know what colors people love, what lighting is best, what experience we can create for events, plus the PINK store is a must see for anyone traveling to downtown Kalona. Literally takes your breath away as you walk in. If you know someone or are that someone interested yourself---let’s make something unforgettable together.
Downstairs is $1.75 per sqft plus 10% commission. Upstairs is right around $45 a shelf unit. If you work one day per month, you basically earn back your commission!

⚡Golden birthdays deserve golden memories... and this one was *charm-ing* in every possible way. ✨Today I had the absolute joy of packing up the shop's Charm Bar and celebrating with 20 amazing gals for a very special golden birthday! There were bracelets being built, bag charms coming to life, and plenty of tough decisions over which sparkly treasures made the final cut. 💖

While everyone else was team bracelet or team bag charm, I stayed loyal to my favorite—the necklace. It goes with everything and never lets me down. 😉🥳

The best part wasn't the charms, though. It was the laughter, the conversations, the creativity, and seeing 20 smiling faces leave with something uniquely theirs.🤩🥰

Okay but… hearing “you were our favorite booth” all weekend?! 😭✨
Y’all really know how to make this antique-loving Marie Antoinette emotional.
For our FIRST fair ever, the response was incredible — so many new faces, new friends, future Craft Club party people, and even invites to more fairs 👀💃

Sun’s out, pink vibes out 💖✨Day TWO at the Iowa Renaissance Festival was equal parts magical, whimsical, and slightly sunburned… apparently my left arm believed in summer more than the rest of me ☀️😂
Our pink little booth full of antiques, treasures, and fairy-tale finds has been the happiest place to spend the weekend — and honestly, the PEOPLE have made it even better. Everyone has been so kind and fun, and our tiny store dog may have officially stolen the spotlight 🐶👑

She might be back tomorrow for the final day… so if you need one last Renaissance adventure, stop by and say hi! Gates open at 10:00 AM and we’d love to see you 💕

AND if you can’t make the festival, our Kalona storefront will also be open tomorrow from 11:00–3:00!

Day one at the and my face already hurts from smiling so much. 😂 Either I overdid it… or maybe this is a sign I should smile more often and work those muscles out properly.

We met SO many incredible people today — seriously, this crowd is unmatched. Creative, kind, hilarious, and fully committed to the magic. I even ran into someone I hadn’t seen in over 20 years who was very close to my mom before she passed in 2013. That moment alone made this weekend unforgettable. ❤️

Now excuse me while I ice my cheeks and get ready to do it all again tomorrow and Monday.
