Fall is here, and we’re kicking it off with a little bit of everything!

Over the next couple of weeks you can find Do Something Co. popping up all over Southwest Michigan with DIY patch bars, cowboy hats, pumpkin succulents, and more!

It’s official!! Our second annual Do Something Co. Christmas Co-op is happening on Small Business Saturday at Wind + James!

We’re bringing together some of our favorite things for one festive day: local vendors, holiday shopping, food + drinks, Christmas music, creative activities, and lots of ways to support small businesses all in one stop.

We’ll have our Do Something Co. Charm Bar + Patch Bar set up, plus ticketed holiday centerpiece workshops happening throughout the day. The vendor market itself is FREE to attend, so come shop, hang out, make something, and kick off the holiday season with us.

And if you’re a small business owner, maker, food or beverage vendor who wants to be part of it, vendor applications are OPEN NOW! We’ll keep applications open for about a week before we begin selecting this year’s vendors.

Every single stop on Sunday’s Creative Crawl was so thoughtful.

The Shops at Maison Blanc welcomed us with fresh coffee and donuts and truly the best hospitality. 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐭 | 𝒔𝒐𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒚 + 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 and 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐄𝐲𝐞𝐝 | 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐈 helped us get our cooler stocked, had samples ready for everyone and was so genuinely helpful , kind, excited to have us there.

Pursuit Paper & Gift opened their doors just for us, gave us a private shopping experience, had non alcoholic slushies for us and the cutest festive fall paper craft ready for everyone.

At The Ada Hotel, we walked into RIX - Ada’s Common House to find a Creative Crawl sign on the wall, the most beautiful space waiting for us, a delicious Bright Eyed Mule and brunch boards that everyone raved about.

At Boochie Bar - Acai & Kombucha cafe’, we got VIP treatment on their Sunday off, hearing the story behind the business, learning so much about kombucha and tasting our way through different flavors. Soaring Suds Soap helped everyone create their own custom scent in record time AND surprised each guest with a lotion stick to take home.

And then The Pump House Rockford was the perfect ending with soft serve and basically every topping you could ever want all with a special group price.

And it wasn’t just our stops. When I posted that I was looking for some fun local swag to surprise our guests with, small businesses immediately reached out offering to create and donate things just for our group. Our gift bags were filled with goodies, our cooler was stocked with donated drinks, and so many little details throughout the day existed simply because someone wanted to contribute something special.

Every part of this day was met with so much thought, kindness and generosity. All from local and small businesses. No one had to do the extras. They just did. And probably at a cost to them. Because that’s what small, community based businesses do. They show up, they give back and they appreciate you.

That kind of hospitality is what makes a Creative Crawl so special. I would do this exact itinerary again and again. Rockford + Ada, you absolutely spoiled us!

You can still sign up to join us Friday from 1-2:30PM at the library to make a fall wreath!

Tickets are just $45 and include all of your supplies. It’s a fun, affordable Friday afternoon activity, a great way to support your local library, and you’ll leave with something beautiful to welcome in the season whenever you’re ready for it.

How is it the end of August?! I love summer and am always sad to see it go, but….

Fall is one of my favorite seasons to gather people, do something creative and make an ordinary day feel a little more memorable.

Whether it’s coworkers, clients, friends or your annual holiday event, Do Something Co. can bring the experience to you with workshops, creative pop-ups, custom experiences and excursions designed to help people connect and have some fun together.

Create a beautiful fall wreath in this fun, hands-on workshop! Using a 12-inch frame, you’ll design a custom faux foliage wreath, finished at approximately 14–16 inches—perfect for adding a seasonal touch to your home. All supplies are included, with a variety of foliage to choose from, and an experienced instructor will be there to guide you along the way.

The Out of Office 24-Hour Self-Care Retreat is BACK this October.

We’re heading back to the Riverbend Estate Wedding Venue Mansion in Otsego for 24 hours dedicated to resting, relaxing and letting someone else take care of YOU for a change.

I created Out of Office because I felt like this was the kind of retreat so many women were actually asking for. A chance to check out from the day-to-day, be pampered, connect with other women and get some actual rest, without committing to a whole weekend away or traveling somewhere far.

The idea is simple: take Friday off. Whatever your “office” looks like, leave it behind for 24 hours.

We start Friday morning at 10 a.m. with a brunch charcuterie spread, fresh coffee and treats before spending the afternoon rotating through self-care experiences like massage, facials, scalp massage, Thai massage and sauna.

Then we’ll settle in for a catered dinner, dessert, time to connect and unwind, and perhaps the greatest luxury of all: an uninterrupted night of sleep where NO ONE NEEDS ANYTHING FROM YOU.

And by 10 a.m. Saturday, you’re headed home with the rest of your weekend still ahead of you. You can make it to sports, spend time with your family, crawl back into your own bed, or keep the self-care going. Your choice.

Because space is limited and every room at the mansion is a little different, registration works differently for this event. Start by filling out the interest form linked in my bio. From there, I’ll send you all the details, deposit information and room options. Once your deposit is received, we’ll confirm your room assignment based on your preferences and send your remaining balance.

These retreats always end up bringing together the BEST group of women, and I genuinely can’t wait to see who joins us this time.
