A Heartfelt Note from Bee Joyful Shop 💛

Yesterday’s internet outage hit small businesses hard…ours included. Yes, we have backups, and yes, we take cash, but the bigger issue isn’t technology it’s how people respond when small businesses face tough days.

Are we being kind, or are we being cruel?
Are we lifting people up, or piling on when they’re already struggling?

If a friend posted that their workplace had a bad day, I’d probably ask how I could help or send ten dollars to show I care even if it made things a little tight for me. Because that’s what community looks like.

Here’s the truth: people always say how much they love small businesses - until one closes. Then everyone’s shocked and outraged. But the reality is, we won’t be around if that love doesn’t turn into action. One bad Saturday can have ripple effects for weeks, especially coming off the two slowest months of the year.

When someone walks in and asks, “How’s your little business doing?” I sometimes want to say, “You mean my dream? My only source of income? The shop that’s created jobs, reduced waste, and helped others live more sustainably?”

We’re not asking for sympathy just empathy. A little kindness. A reminder that every purchase matters.

Our soap sale runs through Friday and grabbing a bar (or two!) doesn’t just keep your skin clean, it helps keep Bee Joyful here to serve all your organic, sustainable needs.
