Ryan and I are married THIRTEEN years today. In a time in this world that feels so uncertain, I want to share our love as a testament to hold on to each other.

Thirteen

We are
earth, stone and steeple
our own hidden castle
built between the shadows and the soul
steadfast among the storms

roots, stem and petal
secret blooms trying hard not to bolt
a fragrance bound tightly between us
the fruits of our love dripping like tears
