A piece of Judsonia history right here at JBF! 👏

This is the original Clock that was hanging on the front wall of the Briggs-Kinney Funeral Home in downtown Judsonia on the evening of March 21, 1952, at approximately 5:34 pm when an F4 tornado ripped through Judsonia, killing nearly 30 residents.

It also demolished most of the downtown buildings. The Powell family later purchased the Funeral Home. Thanks to David and Kathy Powell for providing this piece of Judsonia History for your viewing.❤️

On Thursday(10/8), an individual driving the truck and trailer shown below struck our front gate at JBF, caused extensive property damage, and left the scene without stopping.

❤️ Educators Rising Supporting One of Our Own ❤️

SHS Educators Rising is assembling a Family Movie Night Basket for the silent auction benefiting Luna Briggs and her family.

Luna is the daughter of Hannah and Kurt Briggs. Hannah teaches kindergarten at Westside Elementary. Luna is undergoing treatment for a brain tumor, and our Educators Rising students are seeking ways to support her family during this time.

Donations for the basket may include movie snacks, drinks, cozy blankets, movie or restaurant gift cards, and other family movie-night items. Donations are optional and may be dropped off in Room 213.

The benefit will be held Saturday, October 24, at The Judsonia Box Factory. See the attached graphic for complete event details.
