Here's the final map for North Heights Porchfest 2025, presented by Sparklight! Come on over to 610 W. F Street TOMORROW, October 4, from 11am–7pm for a beautiful day of local music, food, and art. No tickets are required and the event is FREE! Food trucks (at 610 W. F Street) and vendor booths (at E & Moffet) will open at 11am, while the music kicks off all over the neighborhood at noon.

DEFINITELY BRING:
☀️ Sunscreen, water bottle, and sunglasses
🪑 Foldable camp chairs or blankets to sit on (please ask before sitting in anyone's yard, and don't sit on retaining walls)
💸 Small bills for tipping bands

USE CAUTION:
🚲 Bikes: Ride slowly and cautiously; the streets will be crowded
🚗 Cars: Do not drive or park near performances; park on the outside of the event and walk in or have someone drop you off
🐶 Dogs: Friendly dogs on leashes only, please, and bring bags to pick up after them; we'll have some bags at the park and our booth

DO NOT BRING:
🍷 Alcohol nor other substances — Porchfest is a substance-free event and consuming them on the street is a misdemeanor!

We are at .porchfest this Saturday from 11-7 with a mobile mocktail bar. Come by and see us and have a fun drink! There will be music everywhere and food trucks, kids activities, and vendors set up. It’s going to be such a good day! ☀️🍂🎤🍔🎵🍹 We are right by the main stage! Can’t wait to see you!

The clock is ticking and it's almost time for our September Downtown Now: "Main Street vs Wall Street: Who Wins in the Age of AI?". We are fortunate to be able to reschedule this presentation after having to postpone it in July.

This is your chance to hear about what's going on in downtown Joplin! Join us for this casual quarterly event to learn about what's happening now (including some exciting new business openings on the horizon!) and what to expect in the months to come, while checking out one of downtown's coolest event spaces, cocktail joints, and more, The Main Event, at 611 S Main St!

In September, Andy Griffith, from SOLO LINK IO will present on "Main Street vs Wall Street: Who Wins in the Age of Ai? 6 Tools To Help Small Businesses Compete, Thrive, and Out-Innovate the Giants". You don't want to miss it!

Doors open at 5pm for networking and cocktails, with the main presentation starting around 5:30pm.

You can also enjoy a brief presentation from City of Joplin staff on the planned downtown streetscaping project, and the future of the 600 block parking lot and Pennsylvania viaduct.

Tomorrow Night! Live Music at the Third Thursday Event!🪩

Some incredible musicians will take the stage at Joplin Third Thursday this week to promote Porchfest! At 2nd and Main, jazz-funk quintet Nuance will get your hips and shoulders shakin' at 5:30 pm. They'll be followed by The Midwest Revival, a local folk band born from the lively jam sessions of the amazing Kara Middick and her family.

Inside at The Main Event (611 S. Main), the night will open with maddie j. mae, a Missouri-native soloist whose passion for songwriting was born during her teenage years living in the great frontier of Alaska. She'll be followed by Friends With Strange, the new folk-rock duo led by longtime old-timey folk juggernaut Jonny Wood.
