For the first North Heights Porchfest way back in 2017, 10 very brave bands volunteered to play music for a festival held together with duct tape and pizza. Kufara was one of them. If you haven’t seen them yet, you really should: They’re a joyous 12-person ensemble of giant, hand-built marimbas playing music from all over the world. They are one of two bands who have played EVERY Porchfest. Rain or shine, they always show up and knock it out of the park, so they have certainly earned the honor of being this year’s first band highlight. Thank you, Kufara. 💚

North Heights Porchfest, presented by Sparklight
Saturday, October 10, 11am–8pm
