The Russell House that was built in 1902 for a wealthy business man and later donated to the community by James Russell is now being utilized as a multi purpose rental venue in historical Moxham for the public to enjoy and make new treasured memories.

PERSISTENCE TO REACH GOALS MEANS EVERYTHING!!!

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!!!

The Russell House of Moxham annual fund drive/fundraiser. We started this event in 2023 and it was an immediate success!!! Each year we come up with a different musical theme and base the entire dinner party off of it.

This event each year has dramatically helped the non-profit organization with funding to continue to repair, renovate and improve the Classical Revival-styled home in Johnstown’s historic Moxham neighborhood. This house was designed by architect Walter R. Myton & was built in 1902. The rental option was also launched in 2023 which has totally taken off!! This gives the public the opportunity to rent the beautiful home for parties, weddings, family dinners etc....

In 1993 James & Roberta Russell purchased the home and did extensive interior and exterior upgrades. They then gifted it to the Moxham neighborhood when they moved to Florida. The non profit was then developed and it gained its current name "The Russell House"!!

In 2000 the Moxham Renaissance started the well known "CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE" which gained a whole new purpose for the home!! This also brought in funds to keep up with maintenance, bills etc. In the last several years the Open House has been upgraded and is now better than ever!! This year will be the "27th" Christmas at the home and will feature 40 beautifully decorated Christmas trees by local artisans, schools and churches!! The theme this year will be "A TREE OF YOUR HEART'S DESIRE"!! The Christmas Market place was added last year to utilize the never seen 3rd floor!!
