We have exciting news! Nana’s Busy Hands will be relocating to 401 N. Main Street, Hemingway (formerly Embroidery By Design). This will allow us to over double our square footage! As a result, the shop will be closed Saturday, 10/25 as we begin the transition. Thank you for your support and being patient with us as we make this transition.

Nana’s Busy Hands had a great time sponsoring a trunk at Johnsonville First Baptist Church’s annual Trunk or Treat. Jaime and I were “The Pollinators” of a beautiful garden trunk filled with various flowers, Venus Flytraps, mushrooms, caterpillars, ladybugs, bees, butterflies, and spiders. It was a treat to see all of the precious children and their families. I would like to thank Jaime and her mom, Dana, for designing the garden scenery and JFBC for hosting the event.

It is finally beginning to feel like Fall! We still have a wide variety of table centerpieces and wreaths available to compliment your Thanksgiving decor. Also, our Christmas decor and gift options continue to expand.
We have an array of arrangements, mantle decorations, accent pieces, lanterns, wreaths, and ornaments. We have red, blue, and lime green velvet and themed ribbon. Custom bows may be ordered. We had a successful vintage shopping spree this weekend! Several unique chinoiserie items and new vendor inventory have been added. The store has been reorganized since Open House and additional Christmas trees have been added. Stop in to find that one of a kind treasure or gift.

We would like to thank everyone who came out and supported us during our holiday open house last weekend. We had a wonderful time visiting with old and new friends, enjoying holiday treats, and helping everyone find something unique and special.

The staff has been working extremely hard preparing for open house and providing memorial and wedding florals for the past two weeks. The shop will be open Thursday, 9/18 until 4 and will be closed Friday, 9/19 and Saturday,9/20.

Nana’s Busy Hands Holiday Open House begins Friday, September 12 - Sunday, September 14. We will have holiday refreshments and hidden pumpkins, Santa, and presents that can be redeemed for prizes. The grand prize is a $25 gift card. The store is stocked and we are excited to begin celebrating the holidays with our great customers!

Some memorial flowers bring about a vast array of emotions while working on them. This one brought back fond childhood memories of a loving father, dedicated educator, civic leader, and role model. I had the privilege of growing up alongside Mr. Snookie and Ms. Nancy’s three girls.
It was an honor to be asked by the family to do his casket spray. I pray that it embodied Mr. Snookie’s love for gardening, especially flowers. Although these beautiful flowers will wilt and fade away, the memories created by and with Mr. Snookie Lee, Jr. will forever bring joy to his family and friends. I pray God will give you peace, guidance, and strength during this difficult time.

Nana’s Busy Hands will be open today, Wednesday, September 3. Many customers have requested that we open on Wednesdays so we are going to on a trial basis. Hope to see you today.

Nana’s Busy Hands will be closing at 4:30 Friday, August 29 and closed Saturday, August 30 and Monday, September 1 to spend the holiday weekend with our families.
