Four Lady Trojans Earn Hi-Plains All-League First Team Honors

The Stanton County High School varsity softball team received outstanding recognition following a successful 2026 season, with four players earning spots on the Hi-Plains All-League First Team.

Senior standouts Kynzi Fehringer, Summer Kendrick, Valeria Ortega, and Kaydence McCleary were all selected to the league's top team, recognizing their exceptional performances and contributions throughout the season.

Leading the honors was Fehringer, who was named the Hi-Plains Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. The award highlights her continued excellence on the field and her leadership for the Lady Trojans. Fehringer's ability to impact the game both offensively and defensively made her one of the most dominant players in the league throughout her high school career.

Kendrick, Ortega, and McCleary also played vital roles in Stanton County's success this season. Their consistent play, dedication, and contributions helped the Lady Trojans compete at a high level and earn recognition among the league's best athletes.

Having four players selected to the All-League First Team is a testament to the strength of the Stanton County softball program and the hard work of its student-athletes and coaching staff.

Congratulations to Kynzi Fehringer, Summer Kendrick, Valeria Ortega, and Kaydence McCleary on their outstanding achievements and for representing Stanton County High School with pride.
