Senator Jerry Moran visited Stanton County High School today! Our Student Council officers—President David Crane, Vice President Kynzi Fehringer, and Social Media Director Hannah Canny—gave him a tour of the school. During his visit, the students had the opportunity to discuss with Senator Moran the unique challenges and opportunities that come with attending a small school.

Stanton County School District USD 452 is concerned with the lack of participation in the school lunch program. The Stanton County Board of Education is trying to meet students/parents' in the middle by asking that vendor/restaurant food only be brought in by parents/guardians on Tuesdays and Fridays. We strongly encourage no vendor/restaurant food to be brought in on Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday during lunch. We would prefer that all sack lunches on these days be brought to the school in the morning. Lack of participation in the school lunch program gives a huge financial loss to the district. We have met with OPAA and between their efforts and ours, we will provide lunches that most students request.

El Distrito Escolar del Condado de Stanton USD 452 está preocupado por la falta de participación en el programa de almuerzos escolares. La Junta de Educación del Condado de Stanton está intentando llegar a un acuerdo entre estudiantes y padres solicitando que los padres/tutores solo traigan comida de vendedores/restaurantes los martes y viernes. Recomendamos encarecidamente que no se traiga comida de vendedores/restaurantes los lunes, miércoles ni jueves durante el almuerzo. Preferiríamos que todos los almuerzos para llevar en estos días se lleven a la escuela por la mañana. La falta de participación en el programa de almuerzos escolares representa una gran pérdida financiera para el distrito. Nos hemos reunido con la OPAA y, gracias a sus esfuerzos y al nuestro, proporcionaremos los almuerzos que la mayoría de los estudiantes solicitan.
