What wedding dreams are made of! I legit felt like I walked into a fairytale upon entering the grounds of the stunning Hotel Bel-Air, the beautiful backdrop for Charlotte + Roger's epic wedding celebration in L.A. From florals galore, epic design, memorable moments, the sweetest of clients, and even a performance by THE one. and. only. Snoop Dogg it was a party for the books!

I'm truly loving the beginnings of making my stamp on the west coast scene. It's been unforgettable thus far and I can't wait to be back for the next! I talk a lot in my book about how a change of scenery, every so often, allows a creative to stay inspired--needless to say, my passion flame is burning bright.

Rewind the tape to the early 90’s when I told my parents I'd one day write a book. Fast forward to today at age 35 and I can finally say I did. Some dreams take time to harvest. There were moments of self-doubt and periods of “ok, let’s put this on ice.” I’m so glad I didn’t. I’m grateful for this experience and humbled by the process. Writing a book is hard. freaking. work.

A Gallon of Gold is about embracing the unexpected. I outline pivotal self-discoveries I found when allowing my life + creativity to unfold organically. I’ve waited 131 days for the moment to arrive when I could finally share my book cover design for ‘A Gallon of Gold.’ I’m elated to say that it’s finally time!

I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! For the cover, I wanted something simple, yet eye-catching and with a bold brush script font. Something fun and not so serious (kinda like the book!). It couldn’t represent myself or the memoir any better. My designers hit the nail on the head and I’m so, so grateful for their hard work and dedication to the project. A total dream come true.

While the book itself was many, many months of work (aka writing) done by me, I can’t take all of the credit for the rest of the project. My publisher, The Self Publishing Agency has made this entire process not only seamless but FUN. When you get your book, you’ll also find several finishing touches brought to life by none other than my bestie and the book’s creative director, Francesca Noel. Her ideas are always . The cover design was executed by the talented Mila with the interior of the book layout and finishing touches on the dust jacket designed by Umbrella Squared Design Group. A huge shoutout to Nicholas Gore Weddings for the AGOG photo shoot. Of course, we’d planned numerous photo concepts for the back cover, and the one we chose ended up being something we did on the fly haha. But hey, that’s a part of the creative process! You all are ROCKSTARS.

During pre-sale, I’ll be selling limited edition hard cover copies that have a unique embossed, raised title and a little personalized somethin’ somethin’ on the inside from me to you. I may be partial, but the hard covers are my absolute FAVORITE (and are usually all I buy when purchasing books). I’ll be keeping you up-to-date on the pre-sale launch date and expected delivery. Still a ways to go as we wait for the books to be printed—an in-depth and time consuming process due to the quality of the cover elements. I’m impatient but so excited for the day to come! It’ll be so worth the wait in the end. I can’t wait to hold the book and turn the pages. I’d love to know, what do you think of the cover?!

IN TOTAL DISBELIEF.

ICYMI on the stories today, at 1pm this afternoon I found out my wedding film for Shilpa + Keshav at Middleton Place was nominated for a WORLDWIDE Wedding Film Award! The cherry on top...the film nomination is for Wedding of the Year! Whaaat?! I'm in total shock. I've been going through Kleenex's today like there's no tomorrow. No joke. My mind is blown.

Out of 3,000 video submissions from 350 wedding filmmakers from across the globe, my film was chosen. I say this all the time, but someone pinch me, please. I honestly feel like I woke up one day and stepped into someone else's life--my life, an episode of Black Mirror, or some sort of alternate reality.

Receiving this news on the heels of my book being launched this summer is beyond my wildest of dreams. I seriously can't believe it. It's only April, and 2021 is easily shaping up to be one of my favorite years yet. Someone wake me. My Mom is already rallying votes at my childhood church (go figure haha) and these individuals from my past have been reaching out all day. I'm so overwhelmed with joy.

I'm truly LOVING the Adventure Sessions and how much interest I've received in such a short time since launching the new service! Kelsey + Jimmy's shoot in the desert was unforgettable with the breathtaking Sedona landscape. We hiked, off-roaded with Jeeps and ATVs and had a total blast getting to our filming locations. Sedona is truly an incredible place and I'm already planning my next trip back! If you haven't been, I 10/10 highly recommend it. Thank you to The Schaffers for bringing me to this stunning place and for being champs with my sometimes crazy ideas. My heart is so full!

With my recent travels + weddings, I've decided to take a short social media hiatus to catch up on my post-production work, enjoy the holidays with family and celebrate my upcoming 35th. I hope y'all enjoy the holiday season with loved ones and I'll BRB!
