🚨 POP-UP EVENT ALERT 🚨 Are you interested in Italian citizenship, property ownership, or help with any other Italian legal issue? Next week the Italian Educational & Cultural Center at Casa Colombo will be hosting two Italian lawyers - Mr. Giampaolo Girardi, avv and Ms. Caterina Ranieri, Esq - for one-on-one legal consultations.

Free and open to the public, this pop-up event will take place on Tuesday, October 13th, from 6:00pm - 9:00pm, with reservations required.

NOW EXTENDED at the Italian Educational & Cultural Center between August 22nd and November 1st, 2026 is ‘MOONSCAPES’ - an exhibition featuring the captivating work of long time Jersey City artist Peter Delman.

Poets describe the moon as “envious” and a “ghostly galleon”. The physical features of the moon have persisted throughout human history - same as it ever was. Yet it has inspired fantastical myths and wildly creative interpretations in all cultures. These paintings draw energy from the richness of both physical and metaphysical sources.

Catch Peter in residence this weekend within our gallery, on October 3rd and 4th, from 10:00AM - 3:00PM and 10:00AM - 4:00PM respectively, during the run of the Jersey City Art & Studio Tour.

Come meet the man himself while you’re ambling about JC’s premier list of art spaces this season! And join us as we meander into these late autumn afternoons with a dreamy disposition, showcasing a series of artworks bringing both a spark of magic and celestial ruminations to the months ahead. 💫

Now announcing the third and final installment of our newest programming for Autumn 2026… CABRINI.

In an historic collaboration, come join the Italian Educational & Cultural Center at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Jersey City - the pilgrimage site visited by Mother Frances Xavier Cabrini herself in 1909 - to watch and learn about this remarkable Italian American saint’s true story and epic journey from the ‘Cabrini’ film producers themselves.

Taking place on Sunday, November 22nd at 4:00PM, your ticket to our film screening will include an EXCLUSIVE post-film Q&A panel led by:

• ‘Cabrini’ Executive Producer J. Eustace Wolfington, also known for his work on ‘Sound of Freedom’ (2023) and ‘Bella’ (2006)

• Film consultant Monsignor Paul Bochicchio, ‘Cabrini’ Spiritual Director & Theological Advisor, and retired pastor of Holy Rosary Church

• Film consultant Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio, IECC Co-Founder, and Bishop Emeritus of Brooklyn

You ask, we deliver and… IT’S COFFEE TIME! ☕️ The Italian Educational & Cultural Center at Casa Colombo invites you to the IECC Young Professionals Network - our series of events and mixers geared towards the younger generations in their 20s, 30s and 40s looking to either make headway on their careers, or keep their best networking fresh and relevant.

THIS OCTOBER, come join us for some autumnal coziness - featuring an authentic Italian ESPRESSO DEMO courtesy of our neighbors at Alessio’s Cafe of Jersey City, plus the usual nibbles and drinks - on Thursday, October 15th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.

This event is open to all who live within the Jersey City or New York Metropolitan area and beyond!

Now announcing the first of our newest programming at the Italian Educational & Cultural Center for Autumn 2026…

In collaboration with St. Peter’s Prep Italian students and alumni, their Professor Rosalie Romano, and IECC VP Professor Carla Mastropierro - join us on Monday, October 19th at 6:00PM for a special presentation of ‘New Beginnings: The Italian Immigrant Experience’.

This heartening evening - with tales of courage, love and fortitude - written and read by the students and alumni themselves, will take place within our third floor museum and Italian Heritage Hall. Detailing the stories of their very own immigrant family members, we will walk down memory lanes long cherished, followed by light refreshments and reception. Suggested donation $10-$15.
