Five Oaks Lodge sits on a private 35-acre lake in Jenks, five minutes from south Tulsa with views unmatched in any urban or rural setting. Our private, rental-only lodge prides itself in rustic and land-inspired dishes with smoked and grilled meats from our own Hickory trees, salads using garden grown herbs and vegetables and savories with just-gathered eggs. Our view will get you the first time; the food will keep you coming back.

You know that time of year, early spring, when the greens are so soft they almost glow? The heat hasn't set in, humidity is barely a whisper and an outdoor wedding is just about the perfect way to spend an evening. Soft, lusciously soft, color palettes that calm the senses and engender relaxation - if the lake view isn't enough. Take in the details, they're subtle. Not everything has to be loud; this wedding and reception truly begat a gentile atmosphere.

Well this one is certainly easy on the eyes. After twenty years of this business, it's hard to impress, but this sapphire and fuschia reception absolutely stunned. A subtle mix of warm roses, cool hydrangea and the most jewel-toned blue sapphire linen we've ever used. March, typically a difficult month to design, as it's not quite spring, but no longer winter, was no match for this client's beautiful taste! Enjoy the images! Photography Credit

We are enchanted by Christmas, so it was an easy theme for the season. Whimsical butterflies scattered the landscape alongside deer in our glamping corner with faux furs, lanterns and chandelier. ...and that's just the outside! Inside, we draped over one mile of fairy lights to create a starry night effect in the lodge. Of course, garlands, floral, antlers and Christmas berries decorated the windows, doors and fireplace mantel. It truly was a Merry Christmas!

Warm and wonderful details wrapped around this event. We custom-printed a buffalo check pattern onto fabric to create linens that felt like fall. To amp up the glam, we placed the cake table center-stage with a sequined black lace linen. Multiple chandeliers bounced light off the damask patterned lace and candlelight-colored cake. You might think it difficult to re-create the boots-and-lace look that is often overdone in Oklahoma, but this client re-imagined every aspect of the design to welcome Alaska guests into a glamorous soiree where boots were afoot, but polished to high-shine! Is everything starting to look the same? Perhaps all that lurking on Pinterest, {ahem} Instagram and wedding magazines caused monotony and creative laziness. When a client brought me the idea of mixing rustic, gothic and ethereal for her reception, I jumped at the opportunity. This image tells the story of our ultimate design. Rich, black sequined lace set off with comfy buffalo check (which was custom-printed for us) and softly draped ivory voile table runners atop mahogany-stained wood tables. It all looks so easy when you see the photo, and perhaps that’s why many people just copy, but gosh, the opportunity to differentiate yourself. It’s just too appealing. 📸
