🦌 Parent Rundown: Amber Elk Ranch (Ludington)
If you've ever thought about visiting Amber Elk Ranch, this is the year to do it.
The ranch has announced that 2026 is their final season, with wagon tours ending after their fall season in October. We made one last trip a few weeks ago, and I'm so glad we did.❤️

❤️ What We Loved
•Riding through the ranch on a tractor-pulled wagon.
•Getting to hand-feed the elk right from the wagon (definitely the highlight!).
•Learning fun facts about the elk from the guides throughout the tour.
•Seeing these incredible animals up close—it's a really unique experience you won't find many places.

👶 Best Ages
Honestly, any age. The kids loved feeding the elk, and the adults enjoyed it just as much.

💲 Cost
Adults: $18
Seniors: $15
Children (2–11): $12
Under 2: Free

👍 Good to Know
•Tours are weather permitting.
•Fall tours are weekends through early October, so be sure to check their schedule and call before heading out.

👎 Downsides
•It's a bit of a drive if you're coming from Grand Rapids or Muskegon.
•The wagon ride can be a little bumpy in spots, so keep that in mind if anyone in your group has back or mobility concerns.

If this has been on your West Michigan bucket list, I'd try to make it happen this fall. It's one of those experiences that's hard to replace, and I'm really glad we got to share it with our son before it closes for good. 🦌💚
