Shewwww this has been one crazy spring! We now everything but a handful of plugs planted. This time of year is always exceptionally challenging with needing to get our flowers and row crops in at the same time. Now for my favorite part of flower farming, watching them grow. Our first planting of sunflowers is up! Hopefully we will wrap up our other crops in a week or two, and get some sweetcorn in the ground. 🌻 💐 🌽

We finally got some seeds in the ground! Our first planting of sunflowers has been planted with our new to us planter! We succession plant our sunflowers to maintain beautiful blooms all season long. This year we are trying something new utilizing a cover crop on the areas that are waiting to be planted to help improve our soil health. Between the continuous rains and the freezing temperatures this spring has sure been a challenge. We still have not been able to plant any of our cut flower seeds outside, but we have planted some plugs, perennials, and started more plugs. We are hoping for a break in the weather soon to get all of our crops on the farm in the ground! So excited to see what this upcoming season has in store 🌻
