This Motherโs Day, Honeysuckle Florist had the joy of presenting a very special bouquet to Annie Henderson โ our 2025 Motherโs Day Floral Giveaway winner! At 100 years young, Annieโs life is a beautiful tapestry woven with faith, family, and love!
Born and raised in Jasper, Georgia, Annie is the devoted mother of eight children and a proud grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to countless blessings. A dedicated member of Refuge Baptist Church, she continues to attend services most Sundays, praying for her family, friends, and every prayer request that comes her way.
Annie was nominated by her loving daughters, Deborah, Ruth Ann, and Lynn, who each shared heartfelt words about the woman they call โMama,โ painting a picture of a life marked by unwavering faith, boundless love, and resilience through loss and heartache.
โAnnie has been my mother for 72 years now,โ Deborah says. โShe always taught us to love each other, took us to church, and shared her faith with us. Even after suffering pain, heartache, and death, her faith has stayed strong. We are so blessed to have her as our mother.โ
Ruth Ann reflected on Annieโs dedication to her family, saying, โMama worked hard at Lee Co. for years while helping Daddy raise us. She still prays for everyone, keeping her faith sharp as a tack despite losing her parents, husband, three children, three grandchildren, and many friends. Her sense of humor is as lively as ever, and her love for others shines through every day.โ
For Lynn, her motherโs strength and selflessness define her legacy. โMamaโs love for others is beyond words,โ she shares. โSheโs a true hero, not just to her children but to everyone who knows her. Despite all she has endured, her sense of humor lifts spirits, and when she says sheโll pray, you can bet she means it.โ
Annie was chosen at random from a wheel of names, and we couldnโt be more thrilled that she was selected to receive a 2025 Subscription of Monthly floral arrangements from Honeysuckle Florist. As she enjoys these flowers month after month, weโre reminded of the beauty she brings to the world โ one bloom at a time.
