Yesterday, Pickens had three students take the stage at GMEA All State Chorus! Congratulations to Christian Wright (12th), Evie Hendrix (8th), and Willow Duncan (10th)!

Our very own Evie earned a solo in her choir’s final song written by her conductor. The talent is strong at PJHS!

I couldn’t be more proud of the cast of “Melissa Tunes In”. They put on two wonderful performances in front of over 200 people.

The 8th annual PJHS Dinner Theatre Fundraiser is right around the corner.

This year’s show is called “Melissa Tunes In” and will be performed on Thursday (Nov. 14th) and Friday (Nov. 15th) in the PJHS auditorium.

Tickets are $10 each (includes dinner and the show) and can be purchased at the door or in advance at PJHS!

The doors open at 5 pm for dinner and the show starts at 6:30 pm!

All proceeds directly benefit the PJHS Chorus and Drama programs.

I don’t know if I can adequately express how proud I am of the cast of Into the Woods Jr. they have worked so hard for the past four months to put on an amazing show. They persevered through technical issues and busy schedules (some of my kids went from their normal school day to band rehearsal for their concert this week, to tech rehearsals for our show, to Rookie band camp).

They poured their hearts into this production and made me proud beyond belief. I will miss spending two days a week with this group of talented young actors.
