I never imagined I would find myself in the wedding industry. Back in 1994, I thought creating wedding invitations would be a fun venture, but that was as far as I took it :) However, this industry has taught me invaluable lessons. I truly love what I do and have so much enjoyment in my work. Yet, I never fully considered the emotional aspects. I have encountered many brides and grooms who have lost parents and loved ones. Setting up in memory tables or saving a seat for a parent who has passed deeply affects me. I’ve had a few couples racing against time to their wedding date, hoping their loved one can hold on until then. What has really pulled at my heart strings is my groom who is getting married on June 27th, who just lost his father just two weeks ago. They asked me to create a memorial table for him, and I felt honored as their designer and coordinator to fulfill this request. I find myself emotional at every wedding, and this one is going to be a tear jerker:(
