December 23rd my little brother and his BEAUTIFUL wife Rachel welcomed their first son! And then January 8th they, and our whole family, got some unexpected news that rocked out world. precious little Graham had been diagnosed with an EXTREMELY rare heart defect that will require extensive hospital time, multiple surgeries and possibly a significant amount of travel and time out of work for my brother and sister-in-law.
I am not familiar or good with all the medical terms but he has Transposition of the great arteries, ASD and VSD as well as having his tricuspid valve and mitral valves on the wrong sides. If your like me and that is hard to understand, all I needed to hear was that there is a .067% chance your child would be born with all this going on! All of this doesn’t change that Graham is in Gods hands and we trust Him!
I grew up in a family where we were taught to constantly wrap the arms of Jesus around people with our love, our support, and most importantly our prayers. So that is what I am now asking of you. I am sharing the Go Fund Me we have started for Ben and Rachel that will relieve the burden on expenses, as well as lost income, as they navigate all that the next few months will hold for their family. I am also sharing their meal train that will help with meals being delivered to the hospital as they spend an extensive amount of time at Baptist.
