Bright Entertainment Providing quality dj services to Jacksonville/Onslow County and surrounding areas for 25+ years. There I got exposure to yearly growing crowds in the thousands.

Our team is energetic, professional, and experienced in making your event not only a success, but an experience that will last a lifetime. The company started out in 1998 with nothing more than a passion for being a DJ, and a love for all types of music. After a small personal loan I purchased some over priced, and out dated speakers, a couple of old front loading cd players, an amplifier, a mixer

, and any music I could find at local pawn shops and music stores.(Millennials have no idea what a music store is ) After a few free or demo gigs, I finally booked my first gig with MCCS at Camp Lejeune . As my company grew and became more popular, my now close friend Carol Jamison became the chairperson for Onslow County Relay For Life. Ten years later I had been a DJ at nightclubs, bars, weddings, company gatherings, charity events, Marine Corps Balls, and everything in between. I was so busy I had to add 3 DJs to help cover all the events I had booked. It was some of the best times of my DJ career. Now nearly 20 years into this I have a few folks that help. But I realized that people were not hiring "Bright Entertainment", they were hiring "DJ Ernie". Many of the deejays that worked with me have either changed careers or successfully started their own DJ companies.I still have a few folks helping me with larger events. But these days when people book Bright Entertainment, they get the original dancing DJ...also known as simply Ernie or DJ Ernie. I am Bright Entertainment. I would like to add this short thank you to some special people that have made this business a success for nearly two decades. Meet Brittany Muench! She is one of the newest DJs to join Bright Entertainment. Right now, she is assisting and shadowing, but it’s not going to be long before she’s cueing up the ceremony music and rocking the dance floors solo!

When Bright Entertainment was at the helm for her big day, Brittany decided to try her hand at being a DJ and turns out, she’s a natural.

She’s originally from upstate New York and lives here in NC with her husband and daughter and cats. When she’s not dropping sick beats, she is a barista and, word on the street is, she’s got a green thumb, which she shows off with her productive garden! Brittany always gives amazing customer service and she loves making people happy! Her enthusiasm for everything she does shines brightly at any BE event.

Did you know that adding a GOBO to your wedding or corporate event is an option?

GOBO stands for GO Between Optics. Generally, it refers to a stencil placed in front of a light source to project an image onto a wall or floor. This concept was first used in 1917, called the Linnebach Lantern and used at the Dresden State Opera in Germany. It’s often used today in stage productions, nightclubs and often, at weddings!

On this day I was a guest at the very unique wedding celebration of Sam and Alura. Many of the guests were fellow wedding pros, like John May & Naylor both of whom I respect and enjoy calling friends. All of us were surprisingly tabbed with jobs (not in our given fields) to set up the reception. They also included a short celebration of the 250th birthday of the . It was fun caos, and so sweet!
