Candace Hardnett is a public speaker, writer, Christian pastor and TikTok Creator known as Godly and Gay. She has been an advocate for LGBTQ+ people both politically and in the church since 2004 when she accepted her call into ministry in San Diego, California. While serving as a Marine, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Religion. In 2008, she and her wife Erika moved to Savannah, Georgia where they founded Agape Empowerment Ministries, Savannah’s first fully inclusive church congregation. Candace is the chairwoman of PROUD Savannah, the city’s LGBTQ community Taskforce, as well as the chairwoman of The Reformation Project, a national organization dedicated to LGBT inclusion in the church. Candace hold a Master of Divinity Degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. She is currently in the process of writing her first book. She lives in Savannah with her wife Erika and daughter Maya.
