🚨 BREAKING NEWS: North Florida Kart Club Announces Major Track Repairs Beginning June 22 🚨

North Florida Kart Club is pleased to announce that a track improvement project has officially been scheduled, with asphalt repair work set to begin Monday, June 22.

🚧 TRACK CLOSED: June 22–24 🚧

To allow Duval Asphalt Products, Inc. to safely complete the repairs and provide adequate curing time for the new pavement, the track and racing surface will be closed during this period.

The project will focus on two key areas:

✅ North End Straightaway between Flat Corner and Monza

✅ Lower lane section of the Mini Bowl

These upgrades are expected to deliver a smoother racing surface, reduce tire wear, and enhance the overall on-track experience for competitors and members.

The repairs are part of NFKC’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving the facility for the local karting community.

North Florida Kart Club would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Duval Asphalt Products for partnering with the club and helping make these improvements possible. Their support of our nonprofit organization and the Northeast Florida racing community is greatly appreciated.

NFKC continues to invest in the facility while working alongside the City of Jacksonville toward the long-term goal of a complete track repave in the future.

Members and guests are asked to avoid entering the racing surface during the closure period to help protect the new asphalt while it cures.

Thank you for your patience and continued support as North Florida Kart Club continues making improvements—one project at a time.

♻️ OFFICIAL NOTICE: LEGACY TIRE BARN CLOSED & NFKC TIRE DRIVE AND RACE ENTRY AWARDS ANNOUNCED ♻️

Effective immediately, the North Florida Kart Club's legacy tire barn is officially closed to all tire disposal.

For many years, the tire barn provided racers with a convenient place to leave used kart tires. Thanks to the support of countless members over the decades, that system served the club well. However, as tire volumes have continued to grow and environmental responsibilities have increased, it has become clear that a new approach is necessary.

Today, NFKC is proud to begin the transition toward one of the first dedicated kart tire recycling programs in grassroots motorsports through our partnership with A1A Tire Recycling LLC and the NFKC Tire Reuse & Recycling Program.

Thousands of kart tires have accumulated at the facility over many years. While those tires represent decades of memories and racing history, they also represent a significant cleanup challenge.

NFKC is committed to recycling them responsibly and protecting the future of our facility and our sport.

🏁♻️ Share What You Can. Recycle What You Can't.

Tire Drive Fundraiser
Removing and recycling the existing tire inventory is expected to cost the club thousands of dollars. To help offset those costs, NFKC will conduct a Tire Drive Fundraiser.

Tire Recycling Fee
💲 $2.50 per tire
💵 Cash preferred
📱 Orders totaling $50 or more may be paid electronically through NFKC payment apps.

All proceeds from this Tire Drive will go directly toward the cost of removing and recycling the existing tire inventory currently located at the facility.

Tire Drive Collection Dates
📅 Saturday, June 20, 2026 - NFKC Race Day (All Day)
📅 Sunday, June 28, 2026 (9am to 1pm)
📅 Sunday, July 5, 2026 (9am to 1pm)

Final Tire Cleanup & Recycling Pickup
♻️ Saturday, July 11, 2026
Volunteers will be needed to assist with loading (and reusing if you want!) tires for the recycler. Additional details will be provided as the cleanup date approaches.

Important Information
🔒 Access to the tire barn is now restricted and will remain closed except during the scheduled Tire Drive dates.
🚫 Tires may not be dropped off at the facility outside of the designated collection periods.
🏁 Kart racing tires only.

Tire Drive Rewards
🏆 Any racer, team, or family that recycles and pays for disposal of 100 tires or more will receive:
🎟️ One FREE entry to any remaining 2026 NFKC Local Championship race.

🏆 The racer, team, or family that recycles the most tires during the campaign will be crowned the inaugural NFKC Tire Drive Champion and receive:
🎟️ One FREE entry to the Florida Karting Championship - FLKC event at North Florida Kart Club, October 1-4, 2026 (entry fee only).

The North Florida Kart Club would like to thank A1A Tire Recycling, the Florida Karting Championship, and all of our members and racers for helping launch this important initiative.

Together, we are protecting our facility, supporting our racers, and ensuring a cleaner and more sustainable future for karting.

Additional details of the program will continue to be released in the near future.

🚧 FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS THIS WEEKEND 🚧

NFKC will be reconfiguring the fencing around the Scale House on Friday, June 6th and Saturday, June 7th to improve the flow of racers, kart stands, and technical inspection.

As a result, access to certain non-racing areas of the facility will be restricted while work is underway. The main drive is expected to be blocked and racers will need to go through the grass area to access the asphalt pit area. Please use caution around active work areas and respect any temporary barriers or closures.

These improvements are designed to create a safer, more efficient experience for everyone on race day.

🍹 Want to lend a hand?
If you've got an hour or two to spare, we'd love the help! Come pull a few fence posts or simply bring the crew some cold drinks and encouragement. Every little bit helps as we continue improving YOUR karting facility.

We look forward to showing off the finished product soon!

♻️ NFKC WELCOMES A1A TIRE RECYCLING AS OFFICIAL TRACK SPONSOR ♻️

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - May 31, 2026 - The North Florida Kart Club is proud to announce a new partnership with A1A Tire Recycling LLC as an Official NFKC Track Sponsor and the exclusive recycler of our new upcoming kart tire recycling program, the NFKC Tire Reuse and Recycling Program.

This initiative represents what we believe is one of the first dedicated kart track tire recycling programs in the country and reflects NFKC's commitment to continuously improving our facility, reducing environmental impact, and operating in a responsible and sustainable manner.

Every year, tens of thousands of kart tires are consumed across grassroots motorsports. Historically, many tracks have struggled with how to responsibly manage used tires after their racing life has ended. NFKC believes the future of our sport includes being good stewards of our facility, our community, and the environment.

By partnering with A1A Tire Recycling, we are taking a proactive step toward creating a sustainable solution that ensures used kart tires are collected, removed, and processed responsibly rather than becoming a long-term burden on the facility or our kart racers.

Founded right here in Northeast Florida, A1A Tire Recycling specializes in environmentally responsible tire collection and recycling services for commercial businesses, municipalities, fleets, and industrial customers throughout the region. As a local company, they share our commitment to supporting the communities we serve and finding practical solutions to environmental challenges.

This partnership is about more than tire disposal. It is about protecting the future of the North Florida Kart Club and demonstrating that grassroots motorsports can continue to grow while embracing responsible environmental practices.

Please join us in welcoming A1A Tire Recycling to the NFKC family and thanking them for helping us launch this exciting new chapter for our club.

Additional details regarding tire collection events and program implementation will be announced in the coming weeks.

🏁♻️ Together, we're building a cleaner and more sustainable future for karting.
