We will be out of office for the next week to unwind, reset, and heal.

Lots of exciting events coming up for us when we return. Stay tuned for info on some upcoming public/ticketed events we will be part of later this month.

Can I be vulnerable for a sec? 🤍

The last few weeks I basically disappeared. Inbox: ignored. Posting: nonexistent. To-do list: silently judging me from across the room.
Here’s what was actually going on: my grandfather passed away and we’re still waiting on funeral details. My step-dad is in hospice — this will be the second husband my mom has had to bury. My own dad passed suddenly from a heart attack when I was 15, so this isn’t new grief for our family, it’s grief stacked on grief.
Add in that I already manage depression and executive dysfunction on a good day, plus being a stay-at-home mom to my 4 year old through this brutal heat (someone send a sprinkler and a shred of AC relief), and yeah — I was in survival mode, not girlboss mode.
I’m not sharing this for sympathy. I’m sharing it because I don’t think we talk enough about the seasons where a business owner has to put the business down for a minute and just be a human first.

I’m back. Slowly. Showing up again. If you’re in your own hard season right now — you don’t owe anyone an explanation, but I see you.

Momma ain’t raised no quitters, but she did raise complainers…
(Breakdown our Nostalgic Chic photobooth with us)

Coordinating schedules, rental vans, loading gear, arrival and set-up… all in 100 degree, 100 % humidity, Florida weather in June. Every time I have set up our Nostalgic Chic booth this summer, I swear I’m going to block out our calendar next summer.

And then the event starts, everyone loves our Photo Booth and their photos with custom print designs, and our cup is filled back up and all that complaining fades away.

And then we have to break it back down. 🥵 And we wouldn’t change it for the world. (We just remember to bring a change of clothes) And I promised we don’t complain too loud. 🤪

Huge shoutout to the world’s most helpful sister, who came to help me with this set-up and breakdown on her only day off, for free. And then helped me rearrange our storage unit too.
