The opportunity to represent the school and cheer on the teams with spirit and passion.

Cheering with my best friend and being able to travel to Charlotte to cheer!

How long have you been doing your sport?
-I have been running cross country since last year!

What do you enjoy the most about your sport?
-I love how therapeutic and rewarding running is. I also really enjoy seeing my progress over time and watching my teammates grow alongside me. On top of that, I've met so many amazing people through this sport and made some of my closest friends because of it.

What is your favorite memory of your sport?
-My favorite memory with the team was States last year because I ran my personal best of the season and the rest of the team did good as well, but my favorite running memory overall is running up Rich Mountain and Flat Top Mountain with Alexis at WOLXC Camp!!

Meet your Athlete Spotlight of the Week, Matthew B!

1. How long have you been doing your sport?
I have been running in races competitively since I was 7 so l have been running for 10 years.

2. What do you enjoy the most about your sport?
I enjoy that you can go out for a race, and you decide the outcome of your race.

3. What is your favorite memory of your sport?
My favorite memory was when I broke 16 mins in the 5K, because I was paced by 3 coaches that I have known since I was 5 years old. It just showed how much people want you to succeed in this sport of running.

What a great week for Devilpup sports!

Today, boys varsity and JV Cross Country placed first overall at the Onslow County Cross Country Championship 🏃🏽 The girls varsity placed second 🏃🏻‍♀️🏆🥈

Earlier this week, the girls Varsity and JV volleyball teams won their games against Soutside. Way to go, ladies! 🏐

On Friday, the boys soccer team won their game against South Lenoir ⚽️

Congratulations to all! ❤️💛🐾
