Today while returning my cart at the grocery store I noticed an elderly lady in a scooter cart trying to unload her hurricane supplies as it was starting to rain, so I stopped what I was doing and took the two seconds of my day to help her as I would hope someone would do for my own elderly mother.

Currently most of us in Florida are surrounded by a bit of chaos as Hurricane Milton approaches our beautiful sunshine state. The grocery stores are full of people, but shelves are empty (except for Dasani🤮) the highways are flooded with those needing to evacuate to a safer place to ride out the storm. Consider this post your friendly reminder that we are all in this together, offer kindness and assistance if you can. We are stronger together, and you never know what someone is facing with a natural disaster on the horizon.

If you’re seeing this post, take a second to drop a hurricane tip, meal idea that doesn’t require power, or just word of encouragement for your Florida neighbors who could be effected by the storm!
