The BBQ community has always been about more than competition. It's about family. It's about friendship. It's about showing up when one of our own needs us most.

Today, we're asking our Jimmy Jam BBQ Slam family to rally around our friend, Pitmaster Ryan King.

If you've attended the BBQ Slam, chances are you've met Ryan. If you've spent any time in the barbecue world, you've probably seen firsthand the kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others that he brings everywhere he goes. Ryan has never hesitated to lend a hand, share his knowledge, volunteer his time, or support a fellow competitor in need.

Now Ryan is facing the fight of his life.

As he battles leukemia, the cost of medications and treatment continues to grow. While Ryan focuses on the battle ahead we want to help relieve some of the financial burden that comes with this difficult journey.

This is our opportunity to give back to someone who has given so much to others.

Whether it's $5, $50, or simply sharing this post, every act of kindness makes a difference. Together, we can show Ryan that the barbecue community stands shoulder to shoulder with him during this fight.

It was another wonderful year at the Jimmy Jam BBQ Slam this past weekend at the St. John’s County Fairgrounds. This is by far our favorite competition and we love helping the cause most of all. We had such a great time!
2025 was a super busy year for us. We didn’t cook much, so we were knocking some rust off and getting in the groove of our “new to us“ cook trailer. Best of all though, BOTH our kids, and a bonus kid joined the team this year! It was a family affair for sure and we loved every minute of it even if we didn’t get a name call this time. Congratulations to all the winners!

NEW NAME ALERT: People grow and change, and it was time to change our BBQ team name to something that better reflects who we are. We actually changed about a year ago, but never got around to changing it on FB. So welcome everyone to Que Unto Others (formerly known as Smoken Buds BBQ)! We hope you continue to follow us.
