Feliz Día de los Reyes Magos 👑✨
Today, January 6, we celebrate Los Reyes Magos—a beautiful tradition deeply rooted in our cultura and faith. In Mexico and Spain, (and in other Latin American countries) this day honors the Three Wise Men who followed the star to meet baby Jesús, bringing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. For many of us, this is the day gifts were opened, rosca was shared, and faith was passed down from generation to generation.
Here in the United States, Los Reyes may not be widely celebrated, but in some Mexican and Latino/Hispano homes, the tradition lives on—through stories, prayers, rosca de reyes, and teaching niños about our faith, culture and traditions. It’s a reminder that our roots run deep, our faith is strong, and our traditions matter. Jesus matters. ✝️
As a Latina American, I honor this day with gratitude—for culture that grounds me, faith that sustains me, and the reminder that God always makes a way, even when the journey is long.
