🌱 Meet Zach, AKA Zrt – Our Master Cultivator 🌱

Behind the scenes at Upstate Haze, you’ll find Zach—better known as Zrt—the heart and hands nurturing every plant we grow on our local farm. He’s our resident hippie and plant whisperer, deeply knowledgeable in all things green and passionate about cultivating the highest quality cannabis.

But his talents don’t stop there—Zach is also skilled in glassblowing, creating unique artwork and beautiful pieces that showcase his creativity. Beyond his craft, he’s a down-to-earth, open-hearted soul with a kindness that shines through in everything he does.

Meet Dan – Our Head of Operations at Upstate Haze

Dan is truly the backbone of Upstate Haze. His journey began at R.I.T. in Rochester, NY, where he studied business finance and marketing. It was there that he met Riley, one of the owners of Upstate Haze, and from that connection, Dan became an essential part of our family.

Dan’s personality is as welcoming as it is inspiring. He’s down-to-earth, approachable, and always willing to share his vast knowledge. Whether it’s business, cannabis, or just life in general, you can ask Dan anything and trust that he’ll have an answer—and usually a pretty great one.

Outside of work, Dan keeps a balanced lifestyle. You’ll often find him in the gym with Bri, our head budtender, or exploring all the best food spots around town. His energy, positivity, and commitment make him one-of-a-kind, and it’s safe to say we wouldn’t be where we are without him.

We’re beyond grateful to have Dan leading operations and helping shape the future of Upstate Haze.

🌿 Meet Bri – Our Head Budtender! 🌿

Bri is the friendly face you’ll often see at Upstate Haze, and we couldn’t ask for a better Head Budtender! Born in Norwich, NY and raised in Dryden, Bri has carried a love for cannabis and plants her whole life. She even studied botany at Morrisville State College, making her not only passionate but also deeply knowledgeable.

She’s as down-to-earth as they come, always welcoming with a smile, and she’s the biggest animal lover—her three fur babies are her whole world. When Bri’s not helping customers or sharing her cannabis wisdom, you’ll find her in the gym or hiking the woods with her dogs, usually with a joint in hand.

Bri truly is one in a million, and we’re so grateful to have her as part of our Upstate Haze family. Stop in and meet her—you’ll see why she’s the best budtender around! ✨

Meet Our General Manager, Zach!

Zach was born and raised right here in Spencer, NY. After building a successful business in North Carolina, the bond of friendship and brotherhood between Zach and our owner, James Steiner, brought him back home to help lead Upstate Haze.

A true family man, Zach is down-to-earth, approachable, and deeply rooted in community values. He and his wife, Lindsay, share a beautiful life together with their four amazing children and a couple of lovable fur babies. When he’s not working, you can usually find him outdoors, enjoying nature, or relaxing by a campfire with a cold drink in hand.

We’re proud to have Zach as part of the Upstate Haze family, and we invite you to stop in, say hello, and meet one of the friendliest and most genuine people you’ll ever know!
