✈️ OLAM TRAVEL NOTE
A FLIGHT DELAY DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN YOUR PICKUP SHOULD BE DELAYED THE SAME WAY.
Many travelers assume that if a flight is delayed by one hour, their ground transportation should simply move one hour later.
But airport pickups do not always work that way.
A flight may depart late and still make up time in the air. It may land earlier than expected, then wait for a gate. It may arrive on time, but baggage claim could take longer. International passengers may also need additional time for immigration and customs.
That is why the original arrival time on your itinerary is only one part of the picture.
A professionally coordinated airport pickup usually considers:
• The current flight status
• The actual landing time
• Gate availability and airport conditions
• Baggage claim time
• Domestic or international arrival procedures
• The appropriate grace period after landing
• Traffic conditions around the airport
• Any last-minute changes affecting the pickup
This is also why your flight number is one of the most important details when reserving airport transportation.
Providing only an arrival time such as “8:00 PM” does not give the transportation team enough information to follow changes accurately.
With the correct airline and flight number, the reservation can be monitored based on what the flight is actually doing, not only what the original itinerary said.
💡 TRAVEL TIP:
When booking an airport pickup, always provide your complete flight information, even if you already know the scheduled landing time.
And if your airline changes your flight number, make sure your transportation provider receives the updated information as well.
A small detail before the trip can prevent confusion after you land.
At Olam Limousine, this is one of the reasons we recommend complete flight information for every airport reservation.
Knowledge makes travel easier.
