With all the new traffic to our page due to a couple of recent viral posts, we feel it's time to reintroduce ourselves.... because despite popular belief, we are NOT new owners. 🙂😉 We've actually owned and single-handedly operated this property for nearly 11 years, and may actually be the longest reigning owners of the business in its history! 🥳

We're Brittany & Justin. We are your hosts. Welcome!

Who are we? Just simple people striving to support our family in this really crazy world. We are a family of 4 with the coolest dog (Pippin) and 2 cats (Bagheera "the Lodge Panther" & Buttercup the silver kitten).

We came to the U.P. in mid-2014 as a couple of 28 year olds ultimately wanting something different from the everyday 9 to 5 grind. We found the lodge for sale online, made the drive all the way from lower Western Michigan for a showing, and decided... why not?! The Lodge and area was very unique to us and had incredible potential. We went home with a vision, and had our bags packed in a matter of weeks to head north on a U.P. adventure. (And, an adventure it truly has been!) This place has been our labor of love ever since.

Innkeeping is a lifestyle (actual Innkeeping, not just airbnb management). This business is 100% our livelihood, and we live it day in and day out. For over 10 years, we've immersed ourselves in our community and made it our mission to essentially live like tourists (when we can between hosting, housekeeping, & reno's) so that we can pass along our experiences to our guests. Our area is a recreation hot spot in all seasons and one of the best reasons to visit!

So what do we do for fun? Currently, our "tween-age" kids have us deep into Hockey & skiing/snowboarding in the winter, and off-roading or fishing in the summer. Honestly, we dabble in a bit of everything though. From motorized sports to non-motorized sports, we have tons of recommendations and personal experience that you won't get at any ordinary accommodation. We'll send you to only the best places, and if we are ever unsure then we most likely have a community contact who can help. Guests contribute to our knowledge base as well. We enjoy getting to know you and hearing about your daily adventures.

The cocktail bar inside our Lodge is OPEN for the winter season starting tonight, 4pm-11pm, tomorrow & Saturday 4pm-midnight, and potentially Sunday 3pm-10pm (Lions or Packer game anyone?!)

Our bar is the perfect laid back spot to unwind with friends or fellow guests after a busy day of skiing or snowmobiling! Come have a drink with us!

Now offering cocktails, beer & wine by the bottle. We are working on a mocktail menu as well! Play some tunes on the jukebox. Shoot a game of pool or darts. Catch your favorite sports team on one of our TVs. Come grab a delicious Baroni's pizza (Pepperoni, Sausage/Pepperoni, Deluxe). Plus, we're bringing back our infamous fresh popped popcorn and working on a few other bar snacks.

Wednesdays: by lodge occupancy
Thursdays: 4pm - 11pm
Fridays: 4pm - midnight
Saturday: 4pm - midnight
Sunday: currently unknown

Hours Dec 26-1/1:
Daily 4pm - midnight
Open until 1am on NYE.

Our General Store aka: Snack Shoppe is located just inside the Lodge main entrance :)

Due to our campground not being able to open this year, the store is still operating on a soft opening with no formal hours.... Mostly during times when Lodge guests are more likely to be coming and going.

We have plans to be fully stocked and open for Spring/Summer/Fall 2025!

Firewood and Ice are flying out of here today!

7lb bags of Ice for $2.50

We are also selling/exchanging Propane to help get you through those chilly fall nights if you are camping down by the harbor or grilling out.

Snacks and ice cream by the pint available too!

Our Lodge has vacancies now through the late Fall, hunting season, Thanksgiving week, and beyond into the holiday's. We are already seeing travelers scoop up some late Fall & Thanksgiving openings, so don't wait if you need a room.

Additionally, we now have limited availability for extended stays this Fall for workers, traveling nurses, etc. Some of our condos are wide open until early December. Please text our main # to inquire on .

The calendar is filling up, but we still have select 2025 dates available (and more in the offseason's). We specialize in hosting weekend-long, destination-style weddings, but don't worry if you're not a destination bride - this format can work for local couples as well. We can accommodate everyone under one roof (or add RV sites for some extra space) and create a memorable weekend for all.
