For the past three decades, I have had the honor of serving our community as a city council member, vice mayor, and mayor.
After I left office, my wife, Cheryl, along with all of our children, donated money in honor of my birthday to have a flag placed on a utility pole, recognizing my many years of public service.
I am deeply touched by this thoughtful gesture and sincerely grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. A special thank-you goes to Mark Dickess at the city building, along with the other city employees who assisted him in bringing it to fruition. It means more to me than words can express.
Above all, I want to express my deepest gratitude to my wife, Cheryl. She has stood beside me, encouraged me, and supported me throughout all my years of public service. I could not have done it without her.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I will always treasure this honor and the love and kindness behind it.
