For obvious reasons (🐅) I had to get this Orchid! 🥰

❄️To ice cube or not to ice cube (not talking about the rapper) ❄️
➡️Answer is controversial due to the fact most say the ice cubes help regulate watering so you don’t over water; however many and most experts will tell you not to place ice cubes on Orchids as they are tropical and cannot tolerate cold temperatures. I will have to agree with the experts. ❌Do not ice cube!! ❌ (listen to Ice Cube, but don’t place ice cube on orchids).
➡️The reason it comes with those instructions is to help protect the manufacturer/grower/seller. Why? How? Placing the ice cubes keeps the plants alive long enough for the blooming period of the plant. Once it dies back, or completely dies typically people think they killed it and blame themselves instead of the manufacturer/grower/seller.
➡️Orchids are epiphytes (air plants) and they grow on the side of trees 🌳 . For this reason they need bark to succeed, not soil and in a very well draining pot (Typically keep it in the nursery pot it came in).
ONLY water when the roots appear gray.

Cosmos, Vincas, Zinnias galore, added Calibrachoa for extra decor. Even fireworks(fire cracker plant) in the mix for an extra boom.

Way late post of the day! Got My hands dirty today, and it was everything I’ve been missing since winter. From vibrant colors, and taking risk… I’m excited to show you the planters I did today.
