🌸 Grateful for today! 🌸
What a week for Dorothy’s Gardens!

🌸 Monday…I enjoyed giving a tour to JoAnne and her family as they celebrated her 91st birthday. What a beautiful lady with lots of gusto! She loves gardening and flowers and was so knowledgeable…she even shared peony advice with me! Such an honor having her spend part of her birthday at the flower farm!

🌸 Tuesday… the hailstorm! ⛈️ A bit nervous that night but thankful the flowers made it through the storm with minimal cleanup. Very grateful I can continue with my season.

🌸 Thursday…I went to Brookings to celebrate my daughter Morgan’s 23rd birthday 🎂 While there, I was able to harvest blooms from my sister’s garden to take to market. Thank you, Sis, for sharing your gorgeous flowers with all of us up here in Aberdeen.

🌸 Saturday…Another fun market with Becky, Mary, and Kathy helping at the booth. We loved seeing the smiles and helping people pick out their flowers. I especially love watching the little ones get excited over all the blooms (better than candy)!

Whether you are 91 or just 6 months old, I find flowers bring on the smiles. 😊 😊 😊

I am starting a project called "Day in the Life: Aberdeen" to shine a light on the incredible people who build, create, and serve here every day!

I’m looking for local shops, makers, and small teams to feature. I’ll come hang out behind the scenes for a free candid photo session to capture real action shots, quick headshots, product photos, and authentic details.

The business will get a free gallery of photos to use however they want, and in return, I will get to feature their story as part of my local portfolio.

🌸 Happy Sunday, flower friends! 🌸
So grateful for all of you! ❤️

Friday, my dear friend Aimee brought the girls from Long Lake Colony out to learn about harvesting cut flowers. We listened to our favorite Christian music while choosing the perfect blooms for market. Watching their smiles and hearing their laughter as they created their own unique bouquets to take home made the evening so very special. Thank you, girls! 🌸

Saturday Market… What a turnout!
I asked for “happy faces and big smiles,” and you all delivered! 😊 This is what I love about the market…meeting people, sharing flowers, and watching the simple beauty of a bouquet bring joy to someone’s day. The smiles make all the hard work worth it. ❤️

I truly believe God has given me Dorothy’s Gardens for a purpose. I’m so thankful He has allowed me to create a place where people can stroll through the pathways and enjoy His beautiful flowers…or pick up a bouquet at the market to take home. Thank you, God, and thank you to everyone for continuing to be such an important part of my flower farming adventure. 🌸 Have a blessed Sunday! 🙏❤️
