Well, not a post I ever wanted to make this soon, but it's probably time. After a busy fall season of 10 Weddings in a row (we did'nt take bookings for December), we have one more Wedding this coming weekend, and then sadly, due to health reasons for both Roger and I (Tammy) that many of you already are aware of, we will be closing the Banquet Hall. The Banquet Hall is for Sale. We had a good run though, and have appreciated all the Community Support, and will continue to support you all back where we can! The Banquet Hall was never about profit for us, it was all about Community, and we so enjoyed all of our events and people we met, local and from Lafayette to Lake Charles and in between! In five years we have been part of about 125 Marriages, plus Marriage renewals, rehearsal parties, class reunions, Mardi Gras and Valentine Parties, Vendor Markets, Art Shows, Dance Lessons, events to honor local people, Teacher Appreciations, Business Parties, Dances for Junior High, Proms, Operation Graduations, Bulldog Backers, 70's Party, Christmas Parades, and more. We enjoyed having everyone. Sadly, part of my day these days, are turning down bookings as many are still calling and dissapointed to hear we are closing. My wish is that someone will dream as big as we did and take over. We don't regret a day of our time at Iota Banquet Hall or the people we met and served. And I can't end this Post without Thanking my husband, Roger, for all the late night closing, Angie Clay, for all her decorating skills and hard work, without her we could'nt have managed all that we did. Equally important, our Grandkids, Brooke Short, Brianna Breaux, Kate Clay, Paisley Richard, and Jacob Breaux for working with us, along with all of our other family members who were always willing to step up! And a big thanks to the Iota Police Department and Reserves for their past and present support as Security and also Doug and Diane Kidder for this years work as Security and for the best, most fun, Bartender ever, Lisa Lejeune, who always had my back! This year has been a year of mixed emotions of coming to terms with it all. And we have, come to a place of peace, acceptance, no regrets, with lots of fun memories to look back on. My sincerest thanks going out to all who have supported us over the years. Continue to support all local Business. They are the backbone of our Community. One more Wedding this coming weekend, and sadly, we will quietly close the door. But, the Banquet Hall is "walk in ready" for anyone else who might have a vision of what could be their future! .essage me at 337 523 6869 for more information!
