Our family is truly humbled and honored by this recognition of Troy's hard work! He put his all in everything he did and it has been a privilege of ours to continue that!
A big congratulations to all the teams that received awards!! Also, a huge Thank You to all those people involved in including his name on this awesome state competition!!

At last years annual meeting our association made the decision change the name of our team of the year program. We did this to honor and remember a past member that was one of the best BBQ cooks to ever compete in the Great Lakes area. He was a true BBQ guy that brought a big personality add outstanding skill set to the competition arena. His passion for BBQ ran deep and was shared by his family! He proposed to his wife Sherri Conner at the Jack and they were married at the Royal. Folks that’s how much bbq and the people in bbq meant to him. That’s a true BBQ couple right there!
We would like to take a moment to thank his wife Sherri, his sister and daughters for joining us at our award’s banquet this past Saturday. Having Sherri present the awards for our inaugural Troy Conner Memorial Team of The Year program made it extra special! Ladies thank you all and thank you for carrying on his legacy with your catering company and his love for BBQ.
