Laura Burns Photography Welcome! I'm Laura Burns, owner of my own photography business. I work with families, seniors, couples, and more to create beautiful photos.

I am a wedding and portrait photographer located in the Twin Cities metro, but first and foremost, I am blessed to be a wife and homeschooling mom of 2 awesome boys. After my youngest son was born 7 years ago, my husband encouraged me to explore my hobbies as a way to get out of the house and have some time for myself. I started pursuing my passion of photography through a black and white print cl

ass. After all, what could be a more peaceful time away from two young children than developing prints in a dark lab with the calming sounds of running water? While this was fun and certainly relaxing, I was enthusiastic to purchase my first digital SLR camera for its instant feedback. About a month after I purchased my first digital SLR, the sister of an acquaintance was getting married, and her photographer bailed on her. “Do you want to shoot a wedding?” This question began the transformation from hobby to business. I was nervous and excited, but I had a blast! Six years and four digital SLRs later, I am still excited about photography. I am honored to photograph the magical moments that shape the beginning of a couple’s lives and love together. I am blessed to capture a newborn's first days. I simply love being there to photograph families year and year, witnessing them grow and mature in love.
