Warning— ‼️ REAL LIFE POST
✨ Hard to believe what can happen in one year… ✨
One year ago today, I took a charcuterie class “just for fun” after my oldest graduated high school. I had no idea it would change the course of my entire life.
I didn’t know it would become a business.
I didn’t know it would become a brand.
I didn’t know it would become part of me — or that it would start to feel like a calling.
In less than twelve months, Spartanburg Charcuterie has grown in ways I never could’ve imagined — from the very first boards, to classes, corporate events, magazine features, grazing tables for 50+, and now a storefront on the way.
And along the way, something unexpected happened:
Doors opened not just for me, but for Carolina Family Services, too (the non profit I’ve dedicated my career to over the last 15 years). This little charcuterie dream has created new connections, new relationships, and new opportunities to help feed families in need — proof that sometimes the things we build spill over into something bigger than us.
It’s been incredible… and it’s also been real.
Behind the scenes, life has been heavy.
I still sit as COO of CFS, working part-time while growing a full-time brand. Add in motherhood, special needs parenting, long weeks, missed moments, big emotions, and so many days where I’ve been barely standing and still wondering how I’m going to pull it all off.
Growth doesn’t just add to your life — sometimes it stretches you in ways you never saw coming.
And yet… even with all the questions, even with all the exhaustion, I’m heading into the holidays grateful.
Grateful for every person who has trusted me.
Grateful for every order, every share, every message, every referral.
Grateful for the chance to build something that came from one small spark a year ago.
Thank you for showing up for a small, local dream.
You have no idea how much your support has meant this year.
If you’ve supported this journey in any way, thank you — truly.
Here’s to what one moment started.
Here’s to what one year built.
And here’s to whatever the next chapter brings.
💛🧀✨
